"What should have been a routine traffic stop became a fatal encounter."
On August 20, 2022, Otis French Jr., a 32-year-old Black man, was pulled over in Bay Minette, Alabama. During the traffic stop, an altercation occurred, and Otis was shot five times by a police officer. Despite a biased investigation clearing the officer involved, the French family and the community continue to demand answers and justice.
