In January 2024, May Jungᴸᴸᴾ filed a class action lawsuit against the State of Maryland on behalf of individuals who allege they were sexually abused while detained as children at Maryland Department of Juvenile Services facilities The State of Maryland created, promoted, and encouraged a culture of physical and sexual abuse by staff within its juvenile detention system.
If you or someone you know endured sexual abuse by staff while detained in a Maryland Department of Juvenile Services facility, we will fight for justice and compensation.
Orange Unified School District
Did you know that Latinx/Hispanic and Black students in California’s Orange Unified School District (“OUSD”) are disciplined at 2-3 times the rate of white students?
If you are a parent or caregiver to an OUSD student who has been subjected to discipline (suspension, expulsion, and/or “involuntary placement”), including being subjected to the “Student Success Panel” or “SSP” process, you may be eligible to join a class action lawsuit.
